Cheryl Young
Manager, Marketing and Communications
Cheryl Young brings a wealth of experience in marketing and communications to CU Financial Management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King’s College. Cheryl’s career began at CBC before she transitioned into the Atlantic Canada film industry, where she honed her skills in a dynamic and creative environment.
A true “Jill of all Trades,” Cheryl has excelled in various roles, from administrative positions to becoming an award-winning salesperson for MINI Halifax. Cheryl later worked at SunLife Financial before returning to her journalism roots as the Editor-in-Chief of Salty, a Prince Edward Island “foodie” publication. Most recently, she served as the Communication Coordinator for a non-profit advocacy organization, where she played a key role in shaping their communications strategy.
When she’s not immersed in her professional pursuits, Cheryl enjoys spending her time travelling to new destinations with her husband, gardening, and capturing moments through her camera lens.
